Manipalians Welcome the Year of the Goat

The staff and students of Manipal Intenational University today welcomed the year of the goat with its 2015 Chinese New Year celebration. In the morning, a Lion Dance performance made its way around the campus and interacted with Manipalians, much to their delight as well as surprise.
Later in the afternoon, following an energetic dance performance by the staff and students, the festivities for the day were officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of Manipal International University, Prof Dr PLNG Rao.
Following that, Yee Sang (Prosperity Toss) was performed before lunch was served to usher in luck for the new year. During lunch , students and staff performed songs as a group in Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
Later, those at MIU were treated to a captivating 24 Drums performance at the foyer of Manipal International University.
