Manipal International University (MIU) is a part of the Manipal Group, a global leader in the field of education services which operates 6 universities, 12 campuses in India, Antigua, UAE, Nepal and Malaysia. At MIU, a total of 12 Undergraduate Degree programmes are offered under the School of Science & Engineering and the School of Management & Business. Eight Undergraduate Degree programmes are offered by the School of Science & Engineering, including Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics (Communciation) Engineering, Computer Science, and Biotechnology.
As Malaysia is part of the Washington Accord, all the Engineering programmes offered at MIU are recognized by the signatory members of this accord. Established in 1989, the signatories to this accord as of 2013 are Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, China, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Graduates of accredited programmes in any of the signatory countries are recognised by the other signatory countries as certified bona-fide engineers.
The Engineering programmes offered at MIU are also approved by the Engineering Accreditation Council. MIU is also a partner for the Industry Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology, Ministry of Education, Malaysia.
MIU’s School of Business & Management offers four Undergraduate Degree programmes which are in Business Administration, International Business, Actuarial Finance, and Accounting.
MIU’s vibrant international study environment ensures that students receive the necessary exposure to prepare them for their next step in life as they network with peers from different parts of the world.
In addition, MIU’s network of 30 academic partner from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, UK and USA enables students to opt for credit transfer programmes with participating universities. Students can also get exciting internship programmes with MIU’s select industry partners.
MIU also offers Foundation courses in Science, Engineering, and Business Studies as well as Diplomas in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer & Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, and Mass Communication.
Besides that, MIU offers deserving students various scholarships based on merit for Foundation Programmes. For June intake, MIU is offering a 10% fee waiver for students who enrol for Degree programmes, a laptop for those who enrol for Diploma programmes, and a fee waiver of up to RM1350 as well as monthly instalments starting from RM900 for foundation programmes. Study Grants for Diploma and Degree Programmes are also available.
